Gathering of the Vibes 2011 Girl with Old Rasta Mon Reggae T-shirt
What a great 4 days of friends and music at the Gathering of the Vibes! Although the temperature on Fri. reached 105 degrees with the heat index around 120 degrees, we all survived and once it cooled off a little the fun proceeded! Furthur rocked like never before and Jane's Addiction closed Sat. night with a bang! Other highlights of the weekend were Dark Star Orchestra, Deep Banana Blackout, Tedeschi/Trucks Band and The John Butler Trio was a surprisingly original band and put on a great show! Here are a few pictures of the happy campers...
It was especially nice to see my dear old friend Charlotte from The Garden of Beadin' in Garberville, CA. as well as all my other East & West coast friends.

Vegas here we come! On our way to see U2, Black Eyed Peas & Alice Cooper in Las Vegas

My wife Ellen the super eBay master has acquired a par of 5th row seats for U2 in Las Vegas!
We are going to Las Vegas for my dear friend Jeanne Rich's wedding and what a trip it will be! A couple of hours off the plane and off we go to see U2 at Sam Boyd Stadium with special guests The Black Eyed Peas. The next day is the wedding and dinner and drinks and party and, and, and...
Sunday we will probably be getting a late start but, off into the wilds of Vegas we will go. Sunday night will be Alice Copper and who knows what!
This is going to hurt :)

The Gathering of the Vibes has come and gone...
But, the incriminating pictures will live on in cyber space forever! Needless to say we all had a real good time and can't wait until next year to do it all over again.
Besides seeing all my old friends from the Woodstock, NY area and everybody from the North East, I had the pleasure of meeting Stanley Mouse and chatting a bit. One of this years stand out performances for me was Grace Potter & The Nocturnals Man that girl's got pipes! Of course, Deep Banana Blackout rocked as hard as they always do and it was very nice to hear Crosby, Stills & Nash playing some of my favorite songs again.
